Today was a busy day with Halloween Stuff. We watched the primary parade, had our Dance, enjoyed some classroom party time and the day flew quickly.

Math: Pages 95 and 96 are due for tomorrow.

Language: We will have our Diorama Presentations tomorrow.

Bonus Question: For a name on the stars, write a brief (very short) description of how your Halloween evening went. Perhaps include; who joined you, where did you go, how long did you go out, etc. If you didn’t go out you could write about what you did at home.

 

Language: Dioramas are finished and presentations start tomorrow (if we have time).

Halloween: We have a Junior dance planned for the middle block. We are asking for a $2 donation to help cover the cost. Treats will be available for a small cost. We ask that no weapons (plastic/wood) be brought to school.

Math: Today we finished page 94 on graphing (in their blue duotang).

Word Study: Today we had a pretest on our chapter 4 words.

Congratulations to the Junior Girls and Boys Volleyball Teams as they had fun at the Zone Tournaments today.

Picture retake day: Tomorrow is the day for students who missed out.

Today we helped our reading buddies make decorative pumpkins.

Math: Please finish page 142 for tomorrow.

Language: We have one more work period on Thursday to finish our Dioramas. If you need more time after that it needs to be done on the weekend.

Spelling: You can always work on your spelling words each night if you need to.

Bonus: For a name on the stars, please write in your agendas what your household responsibilities are (e.g., clean the kitchen, vacuum, take out the trash, etc.). If you don’t have any chores then write down what you could do to help out around the house.

Dioramas: We start tomorrow. Please bring in any supplies you think you might need. We already have a good supply of stuff ready to go.

Bonus: for a name on the stars, please name 6 items that are in your home and have a silent letter it the word (e.g., knife).

Diorama Supplies: Please bring in a shoe box if you haven’t already. We will be starting our dioramas on Wednesday. Please start to bring in any items that might help you to construct your scene (e.g., popsicle sticks, toothpicks, clay, plasticine, small rocks, wood pieces, styrofoam, etc.).

For a name on the stars, please write the name of your reading buddy in your agenda and tell me something about him or her.
